What’s the Latest on the South End of the Dallas North Tollway?
One of the NTTA's customers recently remarked "I do not understand why there isn't a massive crew working day and night to complete the project" at the south end of the Dallas North Tollway.
The truth is construction crews are on duty from south of Lemmon Avenue to just south of the Wycliff Toll Plaza "day and night". Much of the work is taking place at night though and that's why many motorists may think that our construction crews are not making progress. Speaking of progress, here is the latest:

TollTags Offer More Than Just Tolls
One would think that TollTags were for Dallas/Fort Worth toll roads– they are, and so much more. In fact, you can use your TollTag on any toll road in the state of Texas. In addition to saving you time and money on the ground – up to 20 percent versus paying cash – it will also save you time when you fly. That’s right; a TollTag can be used to pay for parking -– and pass thru -- at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field. But, there’s more. In some residential neighborhoods, TollTags also have the capability of granting access to selected gated communities – imagine that, no longer having to punch a code or carry around yet another remote device. For more information on whether your TollTag can be used for your neighborhood, contact your Homeowner’s Association. Now, knowing all this – isn’t it time for you to sign up for or add another a TollTag to your account? It’s easy, simply log on to www.ntta.org to order yours today.

ZipCash Helps Keep Traffic Moving at South End of DNT
"Much less congestion" and "smoother sailing" are just two ways that motorists can now describe their commute through the Wycliff Toll Plaza at the south end of the Dallas North Tollway.
The North Texas Tollway Authority's ZipCash tolling initiative became operational at the end of January in an effort to move traffic more efficiently through the construction area. The ZipCash system allows for a "drive now and pay later method" for customers traveling to and from the downtown Dallas area. No manned tollbooths are in operation at the Wycliff Toll Plaza, so there is no need for motorists to stop.

Parking Initiatives
The expansion of TollTag capability at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is nearing completion. Technology equipment has been installed at both the north and south plazas and the majority of terminal lots. Equipment installation is also underway at the North Express parking lot.
In addition, the NTTA is nearing completion on an agreement with Dallas County to install TollTag readers at the George Allen Courts Building. Discussion is also taking place with several of the larger parking facilities and operators in the region including Sundance Square in Tarrant County.

Did You Know? NTTA Wins IBTTA Award
The NTTA hosted the 2006 worldwide conference of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) and also received one of its top awards. The Toll Excellence Award was presented in recognition of the NTTA’s innovative program that allows TollTag customers to park at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport parking lots and the parking fee is subtracted from their TollTag account. At Love Field, special exit lanes are in operation so that TollTag customers do not have to wait in line behind cash paying customers.
All NTTA tollroads and main lane and ramp plazas will be open on those days.
