NTTA Board Approves Collection and Administrative Fee Policy
 
At its regularly-scheduled March meeting, the NTTA Board of Directors approved its new collection and administrative fee policy. Many initiatives of the new policy have already been implemented such as:
• Reducing the $25 administrative fee by 67 percent to $8.33 per transaction if the invoice is paid before the invoice is sent to the collections agency

The current all-electronic toll collection (all-ETC) conversion of the remaining NTTA facilities promises to deliver increased safety, fuel efficiency and better air quality. The project, which will require several months of construction along the Dallas North Tollway (DNT), will eliminate the traditional cash toll booths. The Addison Airport Toll Tunnel and Mountain Creek Lake Toll Bridge will also convert to all-ETC.

The NTTA’s first design-build project is underway following the execution of two notices to proceed authorizing contractors to commence design and construction on Phase 4 of the State Highway (SH) 161 project. The notices were executed in late February after the NTTA Board of Directors approved a toll equity loan agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
