Public Hearing on Chisholm Trail Financial Forecast Scheduled in Johnson County The NTTA will soon conduct a public hearing on the financial forecast of Section 6 of the Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail corridor. The hearing will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Cleburne Conference Center located at 1501 W. Henderson Street in Cleburne.
"The NTTA considers this an important milestone for the project, the region and the residents of Johnson County," said NTTA Director of Project Delivery Elizabeth Mow. "We understand how vital the delivery of this project is to the mobility of the region. We look forward to sharing information about Chisholm Trail with the public and moving one step closer to construction."
During the hearing, the NTTA will present information about the design-build contract and project financing. Before the NTTA can enter into a contract with the Section 6 (Chisholm Trail) design builder, the public hearing is required according to the Texas Transportation Code. The hearing is a vital next step as the NTTA moves toward construction of Chisholm Trail.
Approximately 13 miles long, Chisholm Trail is the southern-most portion of the Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail corridor starting from Farm-to-Market Road 1187 and extending to U.S. 67. Upon completion, the Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail will be a 27.6-mile toll road that stretches from Interstate 30 at Fort Worth's central business district to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The entire project is expected to open to traffic in 2014.
