2011 Travel Survey: Enter to Win an iPad2™ or iPod nano™ Taking a few minutes to share your views on toll roads could put an Apple iPod nano™ or iPad2™ at your fingertips. North Texas motorists are invited to participate in the 2011 Travel Survey to help the NTTA learn more about the travel characteristics of drivers who use toll roads, plan to use toll roads and even those who do not use the toll roads.
The 2011 Travel Survey is available online through April. The survey focuses on the entire network of roads in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and will be conducted by outside analysts from the Resource Systems Group, Inc.
Survey information will be kept completely confidential, and the results will help the NTTA determine future mobility projects and respond to stakeholders, the driving public, elected officials and investors.
Origin/Destination Survey – This is the shorter of the two surveys, about five minutes in length. Survey results will be used to refine models to determine where trips are starting and ending, trip lengths and paths and trip characteristics such as frequency, TollTag usage and income range. These survey results will test and validate NTTA travel forecasting models to determine items such as system expansion and future toll road development. Participants completing this survey will be entered to win one of five iPod nano™ devices.
Revealed Preference/Stated Preference Survey – This 15-20 minute survey will focus on travel preferences as they relate to cost and reasons for selecting or not selecting the toll roads. It includes a series of eight games/scenarios that survey values as they relate to travel. This survey is important to determine travelers’ values of time. Participants completing this survey will be entered to win one of 10 iPad2™ devices.
NTTA staff, consultants and family members are not eligible to win the iPod nano™ or iPad2™ devices.
