Repair Work on President George Bush Turnpike Near Interstate 35E to Result in Traffic Delays for Several Days

In mid-November, contractors for the NTTA began work on a repair project along the President George Bush Turnpike that will result in traffic delays for several weeks.

Crews are completing work on the repair of a retaining wall located between the shoulder of the eastbound PGBT main lanes of the PGBT and the adjacent service road just east of Dickerson Parkway. Dickerson Parkway is located east of I-35E. The final phase of repair work started on Nov. 11 and will continue approximately three months.

During the repair effort, crews have closed the right lane eastbound from near I-35E to just west of Old Denton Road and the right lane of the northbound and southbound I-35E entrance ramps to eastbound PGBT. These lanes are closed 24 hours a day and could last into February 2011. These closures are necessary to provide safe space for the crews and for the traveling public.

We appreciate the traveling public’s patience during the ongoing repairs and remind everyone to drive with extra precaution approaching and throughout the work zones.
