FAQ of the Month

With the recent transition to cashless tolling, what do I do if I don’t drive on toll roads very often? Is there an option other than getting a TollTag?
 
Yes, but at a higher toll rate. NTTA offers ZipCash, a pay-by-invoice option at higher rate for customers who do not want to save with a TollTag. When a motorist without a TollTag drives through tolling points, high-speed cameras take digital images of the license plate, and the tolls are billed to the registered owner of the vehicle. Read More ›

NTTA Looks to Select Design-Builder for Chisholm Trail in Johnson County; Work Continues on Southwest Parkway in Fort Worth
Nearly six months ago, the NTTA began its phased procurement approach in search of a design-build contractor for the Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail (SWP/CT) from Farm-to-Market 1187 in southern Tarrant County south to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. Woodland Mitigation Enhances Sustainability on Eastern Extension
Through an ongoing sustainability initiative, the NTTA is replacing landscaping along a portion of the President George Bush Turnpike Eastern Extension project. The NTTA will replace woodlands, including wildlife habitat impacted by construction of the road on 14.8 designated acres of the Eastern Extension in Rowlett by replanting canopy trees.  Read More ›

Sam Rayburn Tollway Construction Forges Forward

In December, the NTTA opened the third and fourth major direct-connecting ramps on the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT)/U.S. 75 interchange, improving traffic flow in the area and providing motorists with main lane access between the two roadways.
