Two Million and Counting The NTTA reached another milestone last month by issuing its two millionth TollTag. On Dec. 2, 2010, Gloria Upshaw of Dallas visited the NTTA Tag Wagon at an onsite promotion at the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge to sign up for a TollTag account and became the two millionth TollTag customer.
Upshaw has been crossing the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge for the past 18 years on her daily commute to and from work. She opened her account days before the NTTA’s conversion to cashless tolling to take advantage of the benefits of a TollTag.
To mark the occasion, NTTA will honor Upshaw with a celebration at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the NTTA Customer Service Center at 5900 W. Plano Pkwy in Plano. Upshaw will receive a $1,500 prize package that includes gift cards from Amazon, American Express and CostCo.
TollTag customers maintain a $40 prepaid account and enjoy the convenience of 24/7 online account management without the hassle of invoices. TollTags can be used on all toll roads in the entire state of Texas, for TollTag parking at Dallas Love Field, and for discounted pass-through and terminal parking at DFW International Airport.
