Matrice Ellis-Kirk Joins NTTA Board as Dallas County Appointee

Matrice Ellis-Kirk is joining the NTTA Board of Directors as a Dallas County appointee. Ellis-Kirk was appointed to complete a two-year term effective Dec. 13, 2011, by the Dallas County Commissioners Court.
 

“We look forward to working with Ms. Ellis-Kirk,” said Kenneth Barr, chairman of the NTTA Board of Directors. “She will bring a wealth of experience to this board, and help to steer the NTTA as it enters a robust and dynamic period in its delivery of transportation choices for the entire North Texas region.”

Ellis-Kirk is currently managing partner of Diversity Services at executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles, a global leadership consulting firm, working with clients on developing an inclusive pipeline of talent. She is well versed on the work she will undertake; her current search work focuses on C-suite executives.

Ellis-Kirk has both finance and transportation experience, having previously worked as a vice president with Apex Securities and as director of the office of management and budget with Dallas Area Rapid Transit. She is also active within the business and civic communities, serving on a number of boards, including the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Foundation, the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the University of Pennsylvania Board of Visitors. She has served on boards for a number of public companies.

“I am excited to be a part of the next phase of NTTA’s work to provide mobility and innovative transportation solutions for the region,” said Ellis-Kirk.

Ellis-Kirk is scheduled to be sworn in at the Jan. 18, 2012, NTTA Board of Directors meeting.
