Design work continues on Southwest Parkway in Tarrant County

Currently, the project is in final design meaning that detailed construction plans are being prepared, bids for construction contracts are ready to begin in December 2007, and construction is scheduled to start in early 2008. In December 2007, utility relocation will be complete. Right-of-way acquisition is essentially complete, with the exception of the right-of-way located within Union Pacific Railroad’s (UPRR) property. Project partners are in the process of negotiating terms to allow construction through UPRR’s property.
