Electronic Tolling Begins July 1 on Bush Turnpike

On Wednesday, July 1, the NTTA will transition to all-electronic toll collection (all-ETC) on the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT).

If you have a TollTag, you shouldn’t notice a major change.  But motorists without a TollTag, ZipCash customers, will have a new way to pay.  Instead of stopping to pay cash, ZipCash customers should KEEP MOVING.  A bill for the transactions will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle.

ZipCash customers will enjoy the same hassle-free roadway experience that TollTag customers do, but they will pay more due to the cost of collection.  By getting a TollTag, they will save up to 45 percent off of their tolls and enjoy the convenience of not worrying about invoices.

The transition to all-ETC is expected to improve mobility, safety and air quality in the region.  Click here to watch a video on the transition to all-ETC.
