Destinations: Fourth of July Fun Looking for some fireworks fun this Fourth of July holiday? You can get to many area Independence Day fireworks shows just by driving North Texas Tollway Authority roadways.

Frisco Freedom Fest in Frisco, July 2:
Held this year on Saturday, July 2, Party in the Plaza will include all the traditional makings of Frisco Freedom Fest. Beginning at 4 p.m., thousands of families will enjoy the Children’s Expo, featuring two Euro bungees, a rock climbing wall and a mini train ride! Party in the Plaza also includes a community stage featuring local entertainers and a Hometown Hero Exhibit showcasing area police and fire departments. The Taste of Frisco also returns beginning at 4 p.m. Top off the night at 10 p.m. with the Fireworks Extravaganza. The patriotic party happens at Pizza Hut Park and Simpson Plaza, located in front of City Hall in the heart of Frisco Square, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd.

Kaboom Town Fireworks Display in Addison, July 3:

The Arlington 4th of July Association would like to welcome you to the largest Independence Day Parade in Texas at 9 a.m. in downtown Arlington. The parade is an annual event and consists of more than 100 entries. The number of spectators over the years has ranged from 5,000 to 70,000. On July 4 at 9:30 p.m., find your spot and stake a claim near Lake Grapevine. Be prepared to be astonished by the fireworks spectacular, which can be viewed from any lakeside location, as well as several other spots throughout Grapevine. As a good rule of thumb, be sure to check times and event details before heading out. Some events may change at the last minute or may be subject to weather conditions. And most importantly, the NTTA wants all drivers to arrive safely at their destinations. Remember to have a fun Fourth of July, but make it a safe one too – celebrate responsibly, and don’t drink and drive.
