Car pooling is a time-tested way to save fuel and associated expenses.
Don't start and stop engine needlessly. Idling your engine for one minute consumes the gas amount equivalent to when you start the engine. more »

Market Valuation For Southwest Parkway (TxDOT)/Chisholm Trail Underway
An important step was taken to advance another critical mobility project for north Texas.
Leaders from the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) met on April 22 to begin the market valuation process for the TxDOT sections of Southwest Parkway (Altamesa to FM 1187) and Chisholm Trail (FM 1187 to U.S. 67).
When complete, Southwest Parkway (TxDOT)/Chisholm Trail will be a 19-mile extension of Southwest Parkway that will extend from Altamesa Boulevard in Tarrant County to U.S. 67 in Johnson County. This would offer an alternate north-south route to and from Fort Worth. more » |

Board Approves New NTTA Roadway Trailblazer
 The NTTA Board of Directors approved a new trailblazer design at their May 21, 2008 board meeting. A trailblazer is a route marker that indicates what road you are traveling and may include auxiliary signs i.e. east/west and directional arrows added to the top. The signs will replace the individual logo trailblazers on current and future NTTA toll roads. more »
