Cashless Tolling: Construction Ahead on Dallas North Tollway

Crews working on the conversion to cashless tolling have completed construction at the Addison Airport Toll Tunnel, finalizing the work at this location. Meanwhile, various construction initiatives continue along the Dallas North Tollway.

Paving, new infrastructure construction and some demolition work remains at all ramps along the DNT. Work is currently concentrated at Spring Valley Road, Royal Lane and Northwest Highway. Work recently began at Mockingbird Lane and will become more extensive through June. All work on the DNT is on schedule to be substantially complete by fall 2011.

The cashless tolling system electronically reads TollTags and/or license plate information. This allows for less stop-and-go traffic, so motorists enjoy less traffic congestion, enhanced safety and improved air quality.
