South End of Tollway To Be Closed April 6-8
Delays expected; Motorists encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes
The southern portion of the Dallas North Tollway will be closed in both directions from midnight, Friday, April 6 to noon, Sunday, April 8, in order to install new bridge beams for the Cedar Springs Bridge.
Anyone who plans to drive near the south end of the Tollway should seek alternate routes, including IH-35 and US 75, during this time. South bound motorists will have to exit at Northwest Highway or before. North bound motorists will be able to enter the Tollway at Mockingbird Lane. Motorists should expect and plan for delays in this area.
The NTTA has placed signs along the Tollway to assist motorists.
Currently, the east bound lanes of Cedar Springs Road are closed, and all but one lane of west bound traffic on Cedar Springs is closed. During the weekend Tollway closure, all lanes of Cedar Springs Road over the Tollway will be closed until 8 a.m. on Sunday morning. The one west bound traffic lane on Cedar Springs Road will reopen after the closure; with the original four lane configuration returning after the south end project is complete.
