Outsourcing Explained

The NTTA recently solicited bids from companies to help the Authority review the license plate photos used in its billing processes. By outsourcing this work, the NTTA expects to see a significant savings based on improvements in image review volume. Cashless Tolling on Dallas North Tollway: Three Adjacent Lanes Open; More Construction on the Way
Motorists can drive the entire length of the Dallas North Tollway without stopping or weaving to pay tolls now that three new side-by-side lanes have replaced main lane toll plazas in Plano and Addison, but more construction is on tap as part of NTTA’s switch to cashless tolling. Read More ›



Sam Rayburn Tollway: A Tale of Two Interchanges
As ramps connecting the Sam Rayburn Tollway to Central Expressway continue to open in Frisco, construction of the toll road’s interchange with the Dallas North Tollway in Plano will close nearby main lanes Feb. 19-21. Read More ›



Repairs Planned for Kelly Boulevard Retaining Wall
Construction crews will begin work by early April to repair a retaining wall on the President George Bush Turnpike near Kelly Boulevard that had shifted and resulted in buckled pavement in early 2010. During its Feb. 16, 2011 meeting, the NTTA Board of Directors awarded a contract for the repair of the wall. Read More ›
