Efforts Continue on Fort Worth's Southwest Parkway Plans call for the first portion of the facility to open in 2010. The Southwest Parkway will be the NTTA’s first facility in Tarrant County and is being designed as an all electronic toll road.
An extension of SH 121/Southwest Parkway into Johnson County, referred to as the Chisholm Trail is currently under design by TxDOT. When complete, it will provide a continuous 28-mile, north-south, toll facility from Fort Worth to Cleburne.
