Blue Sticker TollTags Available The latest car gadget isn’t just GPS – it’s the NTTA’s blue sticker tag! If you’re still using the hard-case TollTag, you can replace it with a slim, blue sticker. Similar to a vehicle registration sticker, the TollTag comes with all the great benefits of the existing TollTag and offers a sleek fashionable look with better technology.
The sticker TollTag offers a quicker, more accurate read than its hard-case predecessor because it contains a chip that sends a stronger signal as vehicles travel through the toll gantries. With the new TollTags, the NTTA continues to utilize the most state-of-the-art equipment in providing tolling to north Texas. It also provides the NTTA the ability to offer TollTags in more locations throughout North Texas.
Now, you can get a sticker TollTag without immediately activating it, making it perfect for the upcoming gift giving season. Simply call and activate the account before traveling on NTTA roads, or you will receive violations or ZipCash invoices at the higher non-TollTag rate.
Aside from the cleaner look, one major difference with the sticker TollTag is that once it has been installed it cannot be removed without damaging the TollTag. If the TollTag is removed, the internal chip is destroyed and cannot be read by the roadway sensors. A new TollTag should be installed as soon as possible.
If you’ve become attached to your existing hard case TollTag, no worries. Customers are not required to exchange their hard case TollTags for the newer model, but they can choose to do so at no additional charge.
All the rules associated with the TollTag will be unchanged, including the ability to have up to three TollTags, a family pack, on one account at no additional charge. TollTag customers will also continue to save money over cash and ZipCash paying customers. TollTag access to airport parking at D/FW International and Dallas Love Field airports and the ability to use your TollTag on toll roads throughout the state will not change.
