New Toll Rates Go Into Effect On September 29 For TollTag customers, the rate is only going up a dime at main lane plazas. For cash customers, the increase will be a quarter at main lane toll plazas. TollTag customers who currently pay 60 cents at the main lane toll plazas will pay 70 cents. Cash customers who currently pay 75 cents will pay $1. Ramp prices will vary. A complete list of toll rates is available on the NTTA Web site, www.ntta.org
TollTag customers also enjoy the convenience of managing their account on-line and not having to search for cash to pay their tolls. Plus, TollTag customers can travel through any lane when traveling NTTA roadways.
Tolls will not increase on the Tollway’s Wycliff Avenue Main Toll Plaza until construction is complete in 2008. TollTag customers traveling through the Wycliff Avenue Main Toll Plaza at the south end of the Tollway will continue to pay 60 cents, while ZipCash customers will continue to pay 75 cents.
Rates for the new main lane toll plaza on the northern extension of the Tollway will be slightly higher, at $1.05 for TollTag customers and $1.30 for cash customers, because there is only one main toll plaza on 10 miles of roadway.
Rates for the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge and the Addison Airport Toll Tunnel will remain unchanged at 50 cents.
Any excess revenue is reinvested into the NTTA system of toll roads and services that improve the driving experience of our customers.
Tolls on the System have only been adjusted five times since 1968. Most recently, rates on the Bush Turnpike were increased from 50 cents to 75 cents in 2002. In 1999, differential rates were introduced for transactions collected electronically through TollTags and cash on the Tollway.
