Cashless Tolling Construction Set for Year-End Finish Cashless tolling conversion construction along the Dallas North Tollway is in the final work stages and is anticipated to be complete by the end of the year. Work north of Interstate 635 is expected to be finished by late November, and the remaining work, which will focus on Royal Lane, Northwest Highway and Mockingbird Lane ramps, will be complete by the year’s end.
North of I-635, crews continued the last phase of pouring new concrete at the Belt Line Road and Frankford Road entrance and exit ramps. Next, crews will focus on completing construction at the site of the former toll plaza near Keller Springs Road and installing the final striping on the ramps and main lanes between I-635 and the President George Bush Turnpike.
Drivers will see lane shifts and lane closures as construction continues. For the latest cashless tolling construction updates and related lane closures, visit www.NTTA.org, call the NTTA Information Line at (214) 224-3030, or subscribe to our special weekly e-newsletter about cashless tolling.
The cashless tolling system electronically reads TollTags and/or license plate information. This allows for less stop-and-go traffic, so motorists enjoy less traffic congestion, enhanced safety and improved air quality.
