Bridges Taking Shape, Making Way for Chisholm Trail Parkway Bridge supports of various heights and sizes are going up in the Union Pacific Railroad’s Davidson Yard in Fort Worth. The supports eventually will connect with structures for the Hulen Street bridge as crews move further along in the construction of Chisholm Trail Parkway.
Three large columns are part of the future Hulen Street bridge, and four shorter structures will support the toll road bridge decks.
During construction of the Chisholm Trail Parkway, the existing Hulen Street bridge will be demolished and a new bridge will be built just east of the current structure. The new bridge will be up to 10 feet taller than the existing Hulen Street bridge, and bridge capacity will increase from two to three lanes of traffic in each direction. The Chisholm Trail Parkway will be constructed underneath the new Hulen Street bridge.
As construction continues in this section of the corridor, motorists should expect lane and road closures in the Hulen Street and Vickery Boulevard area.

The CTP is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from the Fort Worth central business district south to Cleburne. The entire project is expected to open to traffic by mid-2014.
