Coin Machines Equipped for Coins Only on NTTA System

Motorists traveling through cash lanes at toll and ramp plazas should be advised that coin baskets only accept change (that jingles).  ‘Coins only’ signs have been placed at plazas to notify drivers that the lanes are change only prior to the plaza, giving drivers the opportunity to move to a lane with a toll attendant to accept their paper currency. Some lanes have dollar bill changers, and in those instances, drivers can get change from the machines, but must then put the change in the coin basket.  No coin basket is equipped to take bills.

If you find yourself at a coin only lane without change, you can either stay in your vehicle and wait for assistance from the toll attendant if there is one present or call the Customer Service Center at 972.818.NTTA at your earliest convenience to provide the time and location of the incident to avoid receiving a violation notice. At no point should you put your vehicle in reverse in order to move to another lane or get out of your vehicle.

TollTag customers can continue to travel through any lane on the NTTA system.
