Public Offers Input on SH 360 Corridor Project

The NTTA and the Texas Department of Transportation held a public meeting in June to give the public an opportunity to comment on the proposed alignment of Section 1 of the State Highway 360 corridor project. Section 1 extends from Green Oaks Boulevard/Kingswood Boulevard in Tarrant County to U.S. 287 in Ellis and Johnson counties.

The open-house public meeting attracted nearly 80 attendees, as well as elected and public officials from the surrounding communities of Arlington and Mansfield.  Attendees were encouraged to view various exhibits of the proposed project while SH 360 project team members answered their questions. TxDOT staff also displayed an exhibit showing TxDOT’s existing work on the corridor.

Currently, the SH 360 project team is reviewing comments received from the public. The comments will be used to help in the evaluation of the proposed Section 1 Environmental Assessment and to determine local support or opposition for an alternative alignment.

TxDOT is expected to conduct a public hearing later this year.
