Toll Rate Increase – Frequently Asked Questions

Which toll roads will this increase apply to?

  • The scheduled toll rate increases for 2007 and 2010 will apply to the Dallas North Tollway and the President George Bush Turnpike.
  • There will be no rate increase on the Addison Airport Tunnel and the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge. The rates for Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge will be $1.00 for a Tolltag and $1.25 for cash.
  • The toll rate increase will be postponed on the DNT South End / Wycliff Main Plaza until the construction is complete in 2008.
  • NTTA recognizes that our drivers do have an option when they make their driving decisions, we strive to make our roads safe to travel, efficient, clean in addition to using state-of-the-art technology to get service to our drivers faster or enhancing the customer experience. There are always alternate non-toll routes.

• How much is the increase?

  • Tolls will increase for TollTag customers from 60 to 70 cents at main plazas and will increase at ramp plazas by 5 cents. Tolls for cash customers will increase from 75 cents to $1 at main plazas and a nickel at ramp plazas. (Prices on ramp plazas vary based on location.)
  • Tolls will not be increased at the Wycliff Main Plaza near downtown Dallas until construction is complete in 2008.
  • Rates for the new plaza on the Tollway extension in Frisco will be slightly higher because there will be only one main plaza for the entire 10-mile distance. That rate will be $1.05 for TollTag customers and $1.30 for cash customers.
  • NTTA toll rates remain very competitive with other state toll roads, with the lowest per mile rates in our region.
