Full and Partial Road Closures Scheduled for Dallas North Tollway on Jan. 2-4 and Jan. 8-10
Portions of the Dallas North Tollway will be closed for toll booth demolition Jan. 2-4 and Jan. 8-10
A series of full and partial road closures on the Dallas North Tollway are planned for the first two weekends in January to complete demolition of the main lane toll structures at Parker Road and Keller Springs Road. Demolition of these structures is a critical piece in the conversion to cashless tolling. Upon completion of the demolitions, three continuous, unimpeded lanes will be open along the entire length of the tollway. Details of the closure follow.
Portions of the Dallas North Tollway will be closed for plaza demolition Jan. 2-4 and Jan. 8-10
A series of full and partial road closures on the Dallas North Tollway are planned for the first two weekends in January to complete demolition of the main lane toll structures at Parker Road and Keller Springs Road. Dallas North Tollway between Parker Road and Park Boulevard
Demolition of the main lane plaza at Parker Road (north- and southbound) is scheduled for 5 a.m. on Sunday Jan. 2, through 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4. The demolition will include removal of the overhead canopies and structures at and above the toll booths.
- Sunday, Jan. 2, beginning at 5 a.m.
Full road closure north- and southbound between Parker Road and Park Boulevard for demolition of old main lane plaza at Parker Road
- Monday, Jan. 3, by 6 a.m.
One lane open (southbound only) between Parker Road and Park Boulevard
- Monday, Jan. 3, by 2 p.m.
One lane open (northbound) between Park Boulevard and Parker Road
- Tuesday, Jan. 4, by 5 a.m.
Three lanes open north- and southbound between Parker Road and Park Boulevard
DNT between old Keller Springs Road and Belt Line Road ramps
Similar demolition of the main lane plaza at Keller Springs Road is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10. This will require a full road closure for north- and southbound travel between Belt Line Road and Keller Springs Road ramps.
- Saturday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. until Sunday, Jan. 9 by 3 p.m.
Full road closure north- and southbound between the Keller Springs Road and Belt Line Road ramps
- Sunday, Jan. 9, from 3 p.m. until Monday, Jan. 10, by 5 a.m
One lane open north- and southbound between Keller Springs Road ramps to Belt Line Road ramps
Customers are asked to seek alternate routes during construction. All work is subject to weather conditions and will be postponed when necessary.
