Lane Changes To Enter Dallas North Tollway

Motorists can expect lane changes approximately every two months throughout the construction period.

All motorists are asked to extra caution and to watch closely for directional signs. Delays are likely during times of peak traffic and special events.

Opening and closing of various lanes will be posted on the NTTA Web site, through the NTTA’s usual channels and via local media.

Once construction is complete, the Wycliff toll plaza will accommodate two express lanes and five cash lanes in each direction.

The reconstruction of the Dallas North Tollway south of Lemmon Avenue comes about because the facility is nearly 40 years old, and it’s time to replace pavement, improve bridges, widen nearby Oak Lawn Avenue and replace the toll plaza at Wycliff Avenue.

The Tollway improvements and the Oak Lawn widening will cost $34 million and $16 million respectively and will take approximately 18 months to complete.
