NTTA Votes to Accept and Deliver Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail in Tarrant and Johnson Counties

At its regularly scheduled August meeting, the NTTA Board of Directors voted to exercise its option to develop, construct and operate Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail toll project in Tarrant and Johnson counties. These two projects were combined in October 2008 to form a 27.6-mile road that stretches from Fort Worth's central business district to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. Read More ›

Government Affairs Update

The NTTA Board of Directors adopted the 2011-2015 Five-Year Capital Plan  in July, demonstrating the NTTA’s financial capacity and plans over the next five years.  The plan can be found online:  http://www.ntta.org/AboutUs/Investor+Information/.  The Five-Year Capital Plan model looks at the NTTA’s existing flow of funds, financial commitments, operations and maintenance, debt service, reserve maintenance funds and traffic and revenue projections.  Read More ›

Construction Moving Full Speed Ahead on the President George Bush Turnpike Western Extension (SH 161)
Project crews continue to make progress toward the 2012 construction completion date on Phase 4 of the President George Bush Turnpike Western Extension (PGBT WE (SH 161)).  The final segment of the project extends from Interstate 30 to Interstate 20, providing continual main lanes and two major interchanges. Read More ›



All-Electronic Toll Collection Construction Progresses
on the Dallas North Tollway

Construction crews working on the NTTA’s conversion to all-electronic, or cashless, tolling are making progress, having drilled shafts and placed reinforced concrete for gantry column foundations for new main lane gantries and ramp gantries along the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) between Interstate 635 and Parker Road. Read More ›



NTTA Initiates Wycliff Avenue Improvements to Prevent Wrong-Way Drivers
To help eliminate potential wrong-way motorists, the NTTA is working with the City of Dallas on initiating median improvements on Wycliff Avenue between the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) and Maple Avenue. Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge in Denton County Reaches First Anniversary
August marked the one-year anniversary of the new Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge (LLTB) in southern Denton County. The bridge opened Aug. 1, 2009 to much fanfare. The biggest event during the opening celebration was a Fun Run and Walk, which was preceded by a ceremony comprised of local and state officials. Read More ›
