Project Updates

Steel Bridge Beams Set in Place on SRT/DNT Interchange
By the end of August, crews working on the Sam Rayburn Tollway/Dallas North Tollway interchange expect to finish setting all of the steel bridge beams that form the core of the interchange. 
 
When the heart of the new five-level interchange is complete, the contractor will have reached a major milestone in its continuing progress on the NTTA mobility project in Frisco and Plano. Crews have been setting more than 18 million pounds of steel beams – an amount equal to approximately 10,000 cars – on the interchange. Read More ›



Bridges Taking Shape, Making Way for Chisholm Trail Parkway
Bridge supports of various heights and sizes are going up in the Union Pacific Railroad’s Davidson Yard in Fort Worth. The supports eventually will connect with structures for the Hulen Street bridge as crews move further along in the construction of Chisholm Trail Parkway. 
 
Three large columns are part of the future Hulen Street bridge, and four shorter structures will support the toll road bridge. Read More ›



Cashless Tolling Construction Nears Completion
Construction on the Dallas North Tollway related to the NTTA’s conversion to cashless tolling took a major step toward completion in August with the demolition of the north- and southbound ramps at Belt Line Road, followed by new concrete paving where the old ramp plaza buildings once stood.

All new main lane toll gantries on the Dallas North Tollway are complete and fully operational, which leaves continuing construction work on the various tolled entrance and exit ramps throughout the corridor. Read More ›

ZipCash Collection Process Changes Sept. 1
A bill recently enacted by the Texas legislature will change the way NTTA invoices ZipCash customers starting Sept. 1. NTTA collection goals remain the same: customers choosing to drive on the toll road are expected to pay for the service through either the TollTag or ZipCash payment methods. TollTag customers are not directly impacted, but please share with your ZipCash friends that toll invoices can add up if not paid on time. Read More ›
